Relocate to Texas

On January 29th, 2018, I had a person sign up on my site to look at some homes. I reached out with an email, and asked if there was anything I could do to help him. That was the start of 7 month relationship with a great family!

We communicated back and forth, got two areas narrowed down which where Cypress, Texas, and League City, Texas. They had friends that lived in League City, so they wanted to check that out, and also liked what they saw in Cypress. I got them in touch with a lender, and they started their pre-approval. This was hard, since they didn't have a credit report in the US, only Canada. He had a social security number, since he worked for a company that had locations here, and so, he was going to transfer to a Houston, Texas location.

I set him up a search and he would go in, mark his favorites, and I would add comments on what I liked and didn't like about the home, the area the home was in, etc., to help him narrow down a nice list of homes. They flew into town in April, and I had quite a few to show them in Cypress and in League City over 2.5 days. They went back to Canada and decided to focus on League City, where their friends were.

Fast forward to May. after working out lending stuff and working on selling their current home in Canada, they were now ready to buy and unfortunately, the top homes they wanted to go after, from our showings, were no longer available. So, we worked on a new list and I did a virtual showing for them from my phone, so they could see them as I walked the home. From that virtual showing of 6 homes, they picked a great home in League City, and we finally got it closed for them in July!

This was a neat transaction. I think I was great that a family all the way in Quebec Canada, trusted me, to help them with this huge transition. After it was over, they said " as long as you are a Realtor, you will be our go-to guy!". I can't ask for any more than that! :)
