What are they building in Cypress

Bridgeland is a Masterplanned community here in Cypress, Texas that does a great job at hosting events for it's residents and for the entire community to enjoy. One of those events is Howl-O-Ween Fest which is in it's 8th year!

It is a great time for the family where they bring out their pets all dressed up in costumes which can be quite amusing! There are many events like magic shows, and this year they have two vets from the Animal Planet TV show The Vet Life that you can meet. There will be food trucks too, which many folks love, since they serve up some amazing food that you have to try.

Cypress Texas is always growing when it comes to new dining options. We will soon be able to dine at Mama Fu's Asian House!

Mama Fu's offers Chinese, Japanese,Thai, Korean and Vietnamese dishes all in one place!

It will be located at the corner of Spring Cypress and Skinner Rd in Cypress, Texas. It is currently under construction, and should be completed soon. Maybe I will see you there!

Vero Italian Kitchen is coming to Cypress at the corner of Spring Cypress and Skinner Rd.

Vero means "Real", and they say they have great made from scratch recipes on their menu.

Cypress, Texas has some nice options for Italian such as Antonia's and the new Marvino's, so this will be a nice addition to the area.

At this time, they are under construction, but it wont be long before it is open and we all can go enjoy thier take on Italian Cuisine!

A month ago, I wrote about Wild Birds Unlimited coming to the Randalls shopping center at 290 and Barker Cypress. (12320 Barker Cypress Road, Suite 500 Cypress, TX 77429 )

Well, it is now OPEN!

My wife wanted to run over there and check it out, so we headed over to see what they had.

It is a really nice store, with many different items available for nature related activities.

They had their own brand of quality bird seed, and if you pay for a membership, you get 15% off on the seed. They had coffee cups, nice clocks, stuffed animal birds and a wide variety of feeders for many different types of birds. And, I didn't ask, but I think they even had a bat house! You can see it in the below picture on the wall by the TV.

My wife loves birds. At each house we have owned, one of the first things she does is to setup her bird feeders and see how many different types of birds she can get. She does a great job, and usually attracts many doves and sparrows, but it is the Blue Jays and Red Birds that really make it special when they show up.

She is happy that Wild Birds Unlimited is opening a store here in Cypress, Tx., in the Coles Crossing Shopping Center at 290 and Barker Cypress. Wild Birds Unlimited, a nature store, is devoted to bird lovers. They carry many types of their own blends of bird seed, bird feeders and also multi-purpose poles and accessories.

The opening day is not known at this time, but I can assure you, my wife and I will be watching for the start

The folks at Cracker Barrel Restaurant are working on a new location in Cypress, Texas. It is located at 27040 Northwest Freeway which is next to Gringo's.

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite places to eat. I love the country cookin' they offer!

They have been working on this for a few months and are making good progress. They have set a date for September 8th to open. I hope everything stays on schedule because I am ready for some biscuits!

A new self-serve frozen yogurt place called U-SWIRL in Cypress, Tx will add healthy treat options to the area. It is similar to the other frozen yogurt places, where you have many flavors and toppings to choose from. Then you weigh your creation because they charge by the ounce and not by the cup. U-SWIRL offers 20 non-flat flavors, and more an 60 toppings that should provide plenty of options for the pickiest of eaters...like my daughter. :)

 It will be located on Fry rd. near Cypress Ranch High School, which might end up being a great place for students to stop in for a treat after school. It will be coated in the new shopping center called The Shops at Cypress Creek Lakes, which is by the Timewise Convenience Store, and the McDonald's.
